In 2024 we were thrilled to be able to make donations totalling over £100 million, making this our record year.

In response to the continuing financial challenges our charity partners face, 56% of grants made by the Trustees in 2024 were for organisations’ core costs. Over 40% of grants the Trustees made were to Community and Welfare organisations, many of which are grassroots charities that are embedded within their local communities, an area the Trustees have particularly valued since the Foundation was established in 1958.

This year we have highlighted the enormous contribution that volunteers make to the work of charities across the UK and we hope you enjoy reading about just a handful of the 1,797 charities we supported last year.
