They are committed to providing opportunities, activities, mentoring and support for children and young people with a range of youth clubs, sports, education and career programmes and family activities. They also run the Nechells Young Leaders programme, mentoring , debt and benefits advice and they have three businesses that  generate income for the charity and employ local people, including teenagers.

This busy organisation was based in a building in desperate need of repair so they undertook a major £1.8 million project to demolish and rebuild a fit-for-purpose new facility.

“It has taken us three years to develop this project, and 18 months to raise the funds needed to start the build the centre. Our grant from Garfield Weston Foundation has enabled us to attract additional funding from other trusts, local businesses and individuals. Without this grant we would have struggled to fulfil our dream of providing a safe place for our children.” John Street, Director.
