At this challenging time please be reassured that the Foundation is fully open and we have a range of active measures in place, as follows:

  • Over £45 million in donations has already been given by our Trustees since the Covid‑19 restrictions began and the team and Trustees continue to expedite decisions
  • We launched the £25million Weston Culture Fund to support arts organisations to restart, recover and re-engage with audiences
  • We remain fully open and actively encourage new applications (whether or not a charity has had funding from us in the past)
  • We continue to be flexible on timescales and reporting as projects and plans are evolving with the changing circumstances
  • Our Trustees are taking a pragmatic approach to grants, including resilience funding for core costs as well as strategic projects.
  • We have a range of partnerships in place, including with The Fore with a cash flow support fund for small charities and those which are BAME-led
  • The Foundation has robust technology and processes so can work well remotely – we are open!
